I'm thinking of putting a grill guard to protect shirlena (my truck) and I know that those Westin ones just fold over and take out your whole front end in an accident. Does anyone know of a grill guard that has enough strength to actually hold up? Like against a deer that's my main concern

No none of them hold up. They all fold back and do more harm than good. Get a bumper

There is not a brush guard that will hold up against a deer. If you want to plow down deers you might look into ranch hand bumpers
