Default Tow package
Looking for a hitch for my 02 ranger 3.0 do anyone have a suggestions or websites and would a class 5 hitch be to much

Summit racing. Not to familiar with hitches since mine came on my truck. But by far the best place. Others could be amazon, eBay, etrailers... Just type in on google 02 ford ranger hitch and go to the shopping tab.

Overkill is often times underrated but a class 3 would be plenty for the 3.0

Depends on the cab configuration and wheelbase. A four door with jump seats is 5226 I believe my owners manual says

Is that the 3.0 or the 4.0 sounds like the 4.0 ohv

That's the 4.0.

According to ford, I believe a properly equipped 4.0 XLT can tow just a hair over 6,000 lbs.
