Question Buddy shattered my drivers window! >.<

A friend of mine shattered the window on the drivers side of my ranger and I got a new window from the salvage yard today to replace it. But turns out the job was a little more than I could handle when I saw those stupid little rivet things in the holes where the window mounts to the arm. Is there a way to get around it, or do I need to have this professionally handled?

ive never tried myself but i have a buddy who does glass and he can do it at his house so u dont really need any special tools....u can do everything they do with regular tools but they're tools are specially made to do just that, but no you can do it just gotta figure it out... i know you have to take the door panel off and have it about halfway rolled up and stuff like that

Well it was an accidental type thing. He was spinning cookies in his truck with some mean mudding tires in the gravel and got a little too close to my truck. I'm just glad 1. I wasn't looking at the window when it went and 2. I was able to find a replacement so quickly. But now having issues on how to replace it.

you can find 1/4" rivets, but they are expensive not to mention the price of the rivet gun. the easiest way is to just use a 1/4" bolt and nut. just don't tighten it too much or you could break the glass.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. A friend of mine also recommended me use airplane hardware (The stuff that has a rubber coating to seat) so it doesn't come loose.
