ok so i just bought some new headlights and i have a few questions...
first, my driver side bulb isnt stayin in place in the housing....the retaining ring (i think is what its called) is not locking and moves around therefor the light output sucks nuts....where do i get a replacement? i have looked ALL over the web and cant find em...if you guys could find me a link id really appreciate it....also do these wiring harnesses just plug straight into where the actual headlight would plug in just with extra cable? thanks in advance guys

Ok, to start. You need to do an HID conversion in order to use those bulbs. The conversion kit comes with with what you got AND a ballast for each light. Your light output is horrible because you don't have all the parts you need. Checkout ddmtuning.com or VVME.com (there are several other sites) to get the kit. Once you have the kit you can worry about mounting the light.

Second, those are listed as 15000K bulbs. Do you know that's a blue light? Your going to get pulled over A LOT! 4000K to 6000K is white light. Also, 6000K is the most light output of the Kelvin scale. Those 15000K bulbs are going to have poor light output to begin with.

I don't want to be a jerk but you need to do some research on HID kits. Don't waste anymore money.

wasnt aware that you needed a hid kit for those thats what i was looking for but what about this is this what i need?? and will those other bulbs (the 15000k) fit on there?

Yeah those will work. No the 15000K bulbs won't work. Each ballast (metal box) is made for a wattage and a color temp. I strongly recommend 6000K bulbs. They are plenty blue if that is want your looking for. The have the best light output though.

okay ill look around for other wattage , but right now i have 8500k bulbs and theyre more white than they are blue....but ill look around
also you can choose which wattage you want anywhere from 3000k to 12000k so....how hard are these kits to hook up? cant be too hard but just wonderin

well the bulbd is a 9007 size..the 15000k is just the temperature

Your wattage is fine. You just need to get a conversion kit. Check out ddmtuning.com. Look for the 9007 kit.

yeah ima buy the one i posted a link to and get the 10000k cuz it looks that color...i like the angle eyes also but that looks a little tougher 2 do haha very nice tho

first time it rains at night, your gonna hate your 10,000K + headlights. it's as if your lights aren't even on.

its all good..if your doing ne 4x4 your going to wanna stay with 4300k-6000k oh and if you drive in the snow anything above 6000k will give some bad glare

im in alabama so we have pretty consistant weather and ANYTHING is better than i have now..... one more question guys... with that kit will both my high and low beams be the HID bulbs cuz some say somethin bout halogen high and hid lows....if this isnt right can someone find me what im looking for for a decent price with shipping included maybe 60-70 bux at most thanks


and also can someone show me a night time pic of the 8000k from inside looking out so i can see the tint of them...because if theyre blue like you say ill get the 8000k cuz i know it actually puts out more light
