that's about the best picture i got of mine. haha. umm. i believe it came from TSC. It was not cheap i remember that. we had to special order it. It was Dee Zee. I loved it. but once that happened, i had to get rid of it because the replacement truck wasn't a step side. So i sold it to some dude off craigslist from michigan for 175 or 200. i forget which. And he put it in the back of his car. Still makes me laugh.

But yeah. if you wanna get one, it's worth it. Just be ready to pay a lot of money. depending on what you get, you could probably spend upwards to 400-500 bucks.

I searched quite a bit.

I know KOBALT makes one for the stepside narrow beds, but couldn't find it at Lowe's website.

I've seen a Black Husky one on another guy's truck, but I don't know where he found it.

Here is what I did find though.

Dee Zee

Part# DZ8150B
Red Label; Single Lid Crossover Tool Box; Gloss Black; Volume 5.8 cu. ft.; L 50 in. x W 20 in. x H 12.2 in.;

Sell Price:
$344.99

and

Dee Zee

Part# DZ8150
Red Label; Single Lid Crossover Tool Box; Brite Tread Aluminum; Volume 5.8 cu. ft.; L 50 in. x W 20 in. x H 12.2 in.;

Sell Price:
$320.99

this was the box i had in my stepside. i ended up selling it for 175.. but it was a good box. i had no complaints about it. the only thing is that we drilled it straight into the bed rails.. but that was probably 7 years ago.. so it's more than likely different now. haha.

IF you can find an old army foot locker, they fit perfectly, have two trays on top, have locks, and can be coated in SPAR varnish and polyurethane (yes, I took the time to google the correct spelling, lol) to make it waterproof. Staple folded up strips of rubber cut from bicycle innertubes around the edge on the lid to form a waterproof lip, and it should be more weather resistant than the steel box you see on bigger trucks. Makes a damn nice looking toolbox in a stepside.

I'm working on one now, will post pics when it's done.

$60 toolbox. Just add paint, and spar varnish/polyurethane
