Another VC 805er nice. From what I have heard the chrome bumpers are hard to paint...going to need to get it really roughed up and use a good adhesion promoter and primer...IIRC

I painted a couple of ranger bumpers. I paint for a hobby, and to pay for parts and what not. Anyways, with a painted bumper, get it sandblasted first. It will save you butt in the long run. Once you get it home, get on the rubber gloves, dont touch the metal with your grimmy fingers. Clean off the bumper with rubbing alcohal, or paint prep. Go get a can of self-etching primmer. Not the grey primmer that says its self-etching, but the green self-etching stuff! Use a tack cloth and get off all the dust. That is very important. Spray on a thin coat until all the metal shine is gone, and your bumper is all tinted green. After thats dry, tach it again, and hit it with a regular primmer. You can use one from the can if you dont have the equipment. When thats dry you have two choices, you can go for a super smooth finish, or a dont care if it looks like ass finish. So if you do care, get some 400 grit and wrap it around a sponge and dip it in a pale of water. Sand off all the orange peal and clean your bumper again. Dry it, tach it and your ready for paint. 3 to 4 coats of base color, and over due the clear, you will like the added clear when you need to sand out a scratch in the future. Hope that helps, sorry for the misspelled words, im tired
