Default Bed/Support Rail Rust Issue

So last summer upon ripping the plastic liner out of my bed I find a huge rust hole and makeshift fiberglass patch job, I know I should have checked under the liner when I purchased my truck but the miles, services records and price where too good to pass up. The rust has spread to the support sills that are attached to the bottom of the bed. My question is have any of you replaced the bed floor or fabricated support rails/sills, for an affordable rate as opposed to an entire bed replacement, the center of the bed is pretty bad but the side and fenders are fine and a piece of steel would be much cheaper and time saving than replacing and paying for a bed which probably in rough shape as well. I really would like to avoid a complete bed replacement but patching the bed could be costly, I have a buddy who is a seasoned fabricator at a 4x4 specialty shop back home and I have discussed this issue and he feels confident that he can get the metal pretty cheap compared to what a shop would charge..Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You used to be able to buy the floor or just patch panels for trucks you might want to check with LMC truck for replacement parts

The lay in liner was the cause of all the rust sadly the clip on the side was broken and water found its way between the floor of the bed and the liner and the salt/moisture/ and grime had its way with the bed.. I'll definitely check with km for the cross supports. I actually got a hookup on steel so I shouldn't have an issue there
