Default do 03 parts fit a 99

I know this probably gets asked a lot but I gotta know and cant find it easily on the web.

sorry...

specifically speaking, Im replacing the upper control arms and ball joints.

and also, kinda off topic, should I be concerned with using 2" rear suspension blocks and U-bolts from a junkyard ranger. they want 50$ for them. I cant find em any cheaper anywhere else.

We need some more info from ya. Depends on what your truck is, and what your drivetrain is. Like if you have 2wd or 4wd, coil or torsion springs.

If you are replacing ball joints, I would just get new ones from a parts store for your year. Also, why do you need new rear blocks? In FL, they cant be that rusty...

As the above poster mentioned, we need more info on your truck. You don't have a signature and don't provide us any info on your truck other than 1999.

According to your other thread ( http://www.fordrangerforum.com/lifte...ting-99-a.html ), you've got a 99 XLT 2wd...therefore coil spring 2wd.

The upper arms should be the same for all 98+ coil 2wd trucks, but the sides are specific. The ball joints are built into the control arms, so to do upper balljoints, you'll need new control arms.

The lower balljoints and lower control arms should also be the same for all 98+ coil spring trucks. The lower ball joints are replaceable, so no new arm needed unless the hole it fits in is mangled up.

Don't buy used control arms or balljoints..... Check out RockAuto.com and order some Moog components. They're cheap and safety is first. Alignment is required after.

As for the rear junkyard blocks and u-bolts.....what do you have planned for the front? Your truck currently doesn't have blocks out back....adding them will add some substantial height out back. Installing blocks isn't a a big deal...torsion bar trucks already have them. I suggest getting new U-bolts though. They stretch over time and it's another safety matter. The U-bolts you want to order should be 1/2" x 3" x 10" round top.

it is a 99' 2wd sport. it does have the coil springs sorry I forgot to add that and thank you for doing research!

as for lifting the front Im just adding coil spacers and replacing the shocks in the rear and front sooo I should be good with that!

No prob!

When you get rear shocks, you can just order shocks for a '99 4x4. They'll fit perfect after the 2" or 2.5" stock blocks.
