Damn parking lots..
So i get out of my truck today after work and out of the corner of my eye i noticed something was wrong.. grabbed a shop towel and cleaned up the area (yeah so i havent cleaned it in a couple weeks ) and noticed this.
You can't really tell from this picture, but it is also dented in as well. It may be hard to say, but can anyone tell if its something that can be buffed out?
It doesnt need to be done, but i know everytime i see it im going to cringe.

Re: Damn parking lots..
Thats infuriating, isn't it.
A buddy of mine got a brand new, loaded Chev Colorado and the first weekend he had it, someone backed into the driver side door and hit it with the ball of the hitch and took off.

Re: Damn parking lots..
Thats the thing. I park in the furthest part of the parking lot, where only employee's are supposed to park. When i got there there was nobody within a space, and when i left there was nobody. And there is no other paint on my truck to try and compare it to someones vehicle.
My best guess is that they were reversing out of the spot, looking backwards as they turned the wheel not realizing where there front end was.

You have scratches that appear deep, so no it doesn't look like you can buff those out. I have deep scratches on my orange Ford Edge from scrapping a half pole in a parking lot that I didn't see. I think the only solution is repainting.

I had a white truck, and I put deep scratches on that I didn't have money to repaint. I was trying to fit in my own driveway, and my uncle was over and didn't pull straight up past the sidewalk in the back. I thought I could pull around him, and I scraped my passenger side door and mirror. Even on a white truck, deep scratches show -- especially up close.
Parking away from others doesn't always help either. Idiots or objects find a path -- especially with a newer vehicle. I, too, made it almost a year before I got my first ding, and then, a couple more. It goes with the territory because I don't know anyone who doesn't have a ding, dent, or scratch here or there.
