Newsflash...... Splash's last model year was 1998....

The package on the Gen4 Splash's is about the same as the Gen3 splash's. Monochromatic paint job, stepside bed, painted mirrors. IDK what else but that's all that sticking out to me.

Anyway.... Harold....if you were up for doing a 01-03 honeycomb grille swap, I've got everything you'll need for it if you're interested. I'm just a little south of you in Portland. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

sure theyve got color matched mirrors and bumpers, but i see no splash decals, nor have i ever seen a 98-00 splash. and seeing as you just randomly pulled those pics off google, theres no proof that they are splashes. sports have colormatched bumpers and mirrors aswell.

99-00 Sports don't have matched mirrors or valences....

The next set of color match mirrors were the 06 Sports....

I didn't pull any pictures off, Theres a fiberglass bed Idk if thats stock or not, But It reads on the doorpanel and the VIN ran that it's the Splash XL XLT model.

Yeah, but you're saying I posted pics of Sports. Fact of the matter is, I posted '98 Splash's. You're simply uninformed and I'm informed. Simple as that. Simple google search for 1998 ford ranger splash will bring you right to Gen4 Splash info. Plus, image resolution won't show the decals all too well.

'98 Splash's have painted valences and painted mirrors. 99-00 Sports don't. In a nutshell, that's what seperates Gen4 splashes from sports. Splash's were only available with the 'splash' bed, flareside Sports got both. You've probably never seen a '98 splash because they are so flippin' rare. I've only seen one or two in person.
