Default Best LED 3rd brake light ever! (in IL)

I'm selling the internals of the 3rd brake light I've made. All you need is double sided sticky tape to install this into your existing stock 3rd brake light after you've dremmeled out the interior.

This light is much more vivid looking, brighter and colorful than the stock setup. Price is 25$. I have been selling LED products to RF member for years with great success and many happy customers.

Here is what I'm selling. The LED's already have a bracket attached: Makes it pretty easy to secure to the CHMSL.

Here is the result you should expect:

Here is your stock 3rd brake light dremmeled open (to fit the LED bars - you will have to do this

Here is what you will have when your done:

If you are interested in the tail light LEDs (L1224R) - they are also available - PM me.

Yes, I'll do 25$ shipped for the circuit board (paypal). I have component LEDs for the cluster, these are much better than 194 replacements, but you will need to wire them up yourself.

Sounds like a great idea, but do they turn clear when you turn on the dome light so you can see the bed?
And what do you mean you have to wire up the blue led's? i need new cluster bulbs because i only have one left that is not burned out lol

This is for the "all red" 3rd brake light only.

JP7,

I guess that I'm not quite clear on how you are attaching the LED strip to the light lens.

I see how you've cut out most of the light housing in order to provide clearance for the LED strip, but then you are saying to use double sided tape to hold the LED strip in place.

How is that going to work? The only way that I can see using the double sided tape in this case to to put some tape on the inside of the lens, then placing the LED strip in there, but in that case the tape would be blocking the light output of the LED strip, right?

How about holding the LED strip to the Light Lens with clear silicone. Wouldn't that work? At least that way you would be able to replace the LED strip if necessary by cutting the silicone, which would be a lot harder to do if you used an epoxy.

Mark

What kind of modding needs to happen for those rear LED's? Can you put it into Laymens terms? and how much is it for both the left and right side 2000 rear setup? Thanks
