Re: Checking interest: Retrofitting services
I got my Headlihghts back but as usual too many others things to get done and haven't had a chance to install; hoping for this week.
I am not overly happy with the actual build.
First the light had to go back because the Halos were loose and drooped when just sitting on the Bench.
The Headlights had to go back and this dude didn't want to pay for return shipping... he screwed up and he didn't want to fix or pay for his screwup.
I send them back, cheaper than starting over, and it took longer than expected for the rework and now there is excessive adhesive around the outside of the housing, I am not sure of how well they are sealed around the joint of the front and the back of the housings but that will be told when they are in the rain or a car wash.
I can't tell for sure if the Halos are secured now or if the correct adhesive has been used on the halos and if the heat of the lights will cause a problem for the adhesive that was used but I am at least hoping he got that right.
As far as the build goes I am not happy with his work.
As far as the actual light they produce and if they are sealed properly, only time will tell.
If you ask me, pay the price for a known, high quality Projector Headlight Rebuilder, you won't have the problems I had so far and you will get a good set of headlight from the get-go.
Cost of headlight mods wasn't bad.
Cost of shipping was high.
Cost of shipping twice was too high, cost now getting up to where a High Quality Headlight Company would charge for this conversion and paid for return postage if it was needed.
Worth it, so far NO !
