Default WARN grille guard

To be fair, I took a pic of the worst (cosmestic) part of the grille I can find.

I bought this to fit on my 2001 XLT 2WD and it doesn't fit, at least not without some work I'm not geared up for. Turns out I got taken, as -after- the fact, despite me asking if it would fit my truck the seller "remembered" it came off an '88 Ranger 4WD. I don't have anyone local I know who can fab me brackets, or I'd mount it.

Externally it needs a little work with a wire brush and a fresh coat of paint, but otherwise it is -solid- (and heavy). The original WARN sticker is even still on there. The mounting bolts (I am told it is all of them) are included and attached. This is the central modular section that attaches to the truck and both "wings" that cover the lights. I am told it can be adjusted to other vehicles by changing out the centre bars, but YMMV.

I'm looking to get back what I put into it, so I'm asking $100 FTF in Central NC. If you want it shipped, I can arrange it, but it will be on your dime!

BTT - Someone must know what to do with this thing! If you don't want to buy it and you're local, help me figure out how to fit it!

I don't think you'll get it to fit an '01 without alot of work. It's a bumper and frame bolt on job for an '88. Does your bumper even have bolts?

Honestly, I'm not even sure. I've been a public transit guy all of my life, until I got the Ranger.

Maybe see if you can find a 4x4/offroad shop in your area and see if they can fab something up for you. They might even be able take it on trade or give you your 100 bucks back. (I wish you lived in Seattle, that sucker would be mine!)

I know, it's EXACTLY what I wanted on my truck (even down to the used appearance), except for that whole "not fitting" part. I hadn't thought about an offroad store, I'll have to see if I can find one.

Sorry about the slow response. Give me a couple of days to figure out how to weigh it and I'll check around for how much. Closest Fed/UPS depot is all the way on the other side of the next town over, so bear with me.

Damn, I still wish you were further west. I'll be driving to Nebraska in August to see my grandaughter, maybe I could strap it to the roof of my kia. Somebody needs to buy this thing! You craigslist it? What about some 4x shop?

I would Craigslist it, but I am sick of the tire kickers and folks just scouting for burglary to put up with that any more. It would just end with me chasing someone off my property with a .30-30

If I actually find a real 4x4 shop around here, I might just sink the damn cash into it and get it stuck on my friggin' truck. Never a welder around when you need one. I'm pretty sure with the brackets from the little Westin Safari bar I have (and still haven't fitted) and some constructive metal burning this sucker would go on, but all the car guys I know are ricers, so it's all programming and carbon fibre crap
