Re: Tow package
They don't make them because a Ranger is not rated to tow that much.
5000 pound is the highest hitch rating you can buy.

7500 pounds if you install a WDH.
And you would be completely insane to tow that much!!
That is about twice what your truck weighs!!

Re: Tow package
I can tow about 5800 lbs, the 3.0 is rated to tow less than that.
You cannot do enough mods on a Ranger to warrant a Class 5 tow rating. They are too light, too short and too narrow.
A tow package often consists of heavy duty springs, shocks, brakes, different shift points, tranny cooler, steering dampener, power steering cooler, larger radiator, gear ratio, etc.
A Class 5 hitch uses a 2 1/2" shank and is for trailers up to 12,000 lbs/17,000 lbs with a WD setup.

x2
For me the engine isn't really the limiting factor as much as stopping the thing. Anything over about 2500 lb should have brakes on it when behind a ranger imo, it makes a world of difference.

Re: Tow package
you have no busniess towing that much...not to mention if you get into an accident/get pulled over...you might have to pay some HEFTY fines

im confused how you managed to mate a "transmition" out of a 95 f150 to a 3l ranger. and why those two parts constitute a capacity of a class V hitch. your wheels, tires, brakes, frame, suspension and vehicle's footprint do not have the capability to tow that much.
