People throw the term "convertible" around too liberally.

I don't see that truck doing much "converting".

if he cut the roof and did proper bodywork after, thats a steal for the price. Even if you strip it and sell the parts

There used to be a guy here in town that had a Ranger (around a 96-97 model) that he sent to some shop and had a custom convertible roof put on. You unhooked the front with handles inside, then the whole roof folded down behind the seats. I don't know what happened to it though.
