Update for 9-13-10

I've been out in the garage for the last 4 days working on ovals...

Here's what I have in stock today:

4 1/2" wide ovals = 12pcs in various stages of disassembly/sanding *

4 3/4" wide ovals = 5pcs in various stages of disassembly/sanding

5 3/4" wide ovals = (SOLD) 1pc sanded ready for paint (I know this one won't last long)

7" wide ovals = 2pcs sanded ready for paint

* 4 1/2" ovals, I'm running a low on mounting bases with the correct alignment pins on the back for Ranger tailgates. Some of these will have the alignment pins removed so they will lay flat on your tailgate.

The small oval prices are basically the same, but the new larger ovals took me over 6 months to find & some of them broke during disassembly

For an extra $10 per oval, I will do my super-secret mod to the bases in which I remove ALL of the original chrome down to the base plastic before painting with several coats of paint...

This adds about 6 more hours to the modding process, but I feel confident that the paint will be less likely to chip or peel from the bare plastic than it will from the original chrome finish.

UPDATE for 9-18-10

I'm just about caught up with all the custom oval orders for now.

Still have everything listed above, except for the 5 3/4" oval... BUT I'm looking to get some more 5 3/4" & 7" ovals pretty soon.

I know there were a lot of you guys needing the 5 3/4" & 7" wide ovals for your grilles... once these arrive, I should have a few ready for paint in about a week.

Reserve yours now, they're all going to be made in the order they're paid for.

That's an odd size.

I've got a couple that are 7" wide (bases need to be painted), but I've never seen a 7.5" oval... yet.

I'll see what I can come up with though.

haha my fail... i did this to my truck, although yours came out way better. i used black as the background and i went to the autoparts store to get the same paint color as my truck and did the oval and ford lettering in that color.
