I would stay in the range of 4300k-6000k. Anything higher will produce slightly less lighting and more color. If you do 55w 8000k, that will produce a bright white with a tint of blue. I'm running 55w 5000k right now and love them. I will get a comparison chart up for you. If you want some pictures of the 5k, let me know.
