what size is my stock exhaust pipe size i ask cause i want a new muffler and want to get the correct size on the muffler inlets and outlets so i wont have get reducers and such. i am going to go with a flowmaster44 series. if anyone has a better choice let me know. im not lookin for power just sound and i plan on just cutting my stock muffler off and welding on a new muffler does any one know what length muffler i should get? so i wont have to buy more pipe

The 3.0 with this muffler sounds like a V8. Terminator by Flowtech. Autozone carries it for around $50.00 bucks or so. Part number: 50170FLT. It has a single 3 inch inlet and dual 2.5 inch outlets. Go exactly 8 inches behind the cab and it will sound very nasty inside as well as out. Basicly it has an ULTRA DEEP tone that Flowmaster can't beat. And it will set off Factory installed car alarms due to the deep tone but it really isn't that loud. People will swear that you did a 5.0 swap and yet you didn't. Enjoy that nice deep rumble that a 5.0 has without the cost and time of doing an engine swap. I swear it will sound good. P.S. Don't use any tips unless you think it's required.

You can but it would be tight, and you'll have a safety problem too. The driver's side pipe would be dangerously close to the fuel tank and the heat from the pipe could cause an explosion. That's why I didn't run duals on mine. I have a 20 gallon fuel tank. here's my exhaust now:



That's a Cherrybomb Glasspack with a single inlet and outlet of 2.25 inches.

How much were you lookin to spend on the Super 44? I am considering just the 40 series and FlowmasterDirect has the 44's and the 40's for less than $75. Dont know what the shipping would be but I thought the price sounded reasonable.

EDIT: Just checked and they have free shipping but they charge $12 for handling still 84 aint bad IMO

Nope that aint bad at all. Basicly the American Thunder 40 series and the Super 44 sound real good, but your engine really hasn't enough C.I.D to make it work like it should. The only way you can get them to work and be loud is to put them directly off the header with a weld on slant cut tip. I did that once and got a police escort back to the shop. My uncle said before I was escorted to the shop when I started to leave called it a hemi with a bad exhaust and he heard me 2 blocks away. I like that deep tone now. But for those whom like it super loud that'll be just fine.
