Wanting my v6 4.0 ohv louder and deeper. I have heard a lot of pros of removing the cats and mufflers but i dont want the semi ricer sound. I want the muscle sound

loud is good but free flowing mufflers (or no mufflers) is gonna sound more aggressive

i know exactly what you need man i removed the muffler to my 02 right under the passenger door there are two bolts un bolt them and then move the pipe to the side and fire the truck up you will here what it sounds like without the muffler, if you like than finish the job and take the whole pipe with muffler off and you have about 3 feet past the motor with all the cats. thats what i did. now in my other 02 i removed all the cats and added 1 flomaster with side exausht sounds pretty good but just unbolt the bolts and see how you like it you wont have to replace no gasket
