i have a 2003 ranger edge 3.0 and want a nice deep sound. ive read most of the things on here where ya'll say 40 series or super 44 but i was wondering about glasspacks. do they sound good on these little engines? and is there any preformance or economy difference between the glass an flowmaster?

Please don't get a glasspack. They sound like crap on a 3.0. I have a flowmaster 50 series and its pretty loud, not annoying like a glass pack would be. But if u did get one, burn all the inside out with a torch and make it louder haha

40 only white trash uses glass packs LOL

It may depend on the glasspack too. Cherry Bombs are crap. There was a guy on another site who had a neighbor that had a glasspack that sounded great. He said he took out one cat and put the glasspack in place of it. I have one on mine dumped before the rear axle and it sounds good to me. It has a nice deep rumble at idle and at WOT it roars. I kept both cats on and it's not obnoxiously loud like other trucks with glasspacks are. Then again I have a 4.0. It's up to you what you want. I just wanted something other than a Blowmaster muffler.

man i go with magna flow way better then glass paks and flow masters

magnaflows dont give that much sound but might be a better product

If you want sound I would go with the Flowmaster. If you want something mild go with the Magnaflow or a Borla.
