Default Mangaflow cat + dynomax super turbo seems too cheap and easy

I'm looking at $114 for a direct fit cat and $109 for a Dynomax Super Turbo. That seems way too cheap. What's on the truck is rotting and I get whiffs of sulfur from time to time so it needs doing and this is significantly cheaper than OE. Am I missing something? Am I asking for trouble in some way? I'm new to all this, just being cautious.

Summit links.

Cat http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mp...d/model/ranger

Muffler http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wl...d/model/ranger

Seems like a number of folks here run this muffler. Anyone w/ a similar model year? Relatively quiet? Similar to stock?

i put a dynomax on mine last summer and i love it. but we seldom have salt on our roads down here. i expect to get several years out of mine. if they salt the roads alot where you live, you may want to go with magnaflow.

Because it's not stainless, correct? I live in Portland, OR and it seems both Washington and Oregon don't use salt but sand only. And this is a 2wd and I own a Subaru and I live in the city. So not worried about that.

I said the hell with it last night and just ordered . $222 shipped to replace everything from the headers back? With new supposedly fancier/quicker stuff? I'll post back when everything arrives and when I can't figure out how the hell to get it all tucked in under the truck

Cat arrived on Wednesday, exhaust arrived today. Got the old rotted junk ripped out and all the new gear bolted up. Real straight forward. Sound is very close to stock.

Feels stronger. Moves better. The cat and muffler both look a little cheesy. Some bad looking welds but you get what you pay for. All in all I'm stoked! I'll check back in a week or two. Going on a big road trip. I'll post back after.
