Default 2.5 or 2.25 inlet?

ok so im thinkin about making my truck louder... thinking about either flowmaster super 10 or super 44... the super 44 comes in a 2.25 single in with 2.25 dual outlets... the super 10 only comes with 2.5 inlet with 2.25 dual outlets... which one is best? will there be a power difference if i use the 2.5 inlet? btw im only 16 so this is all new to me... any advice would be great.. Thanks

I know the inlet pipe is 2"... they will have to do an adapter to make it 2.25" anyways

get the adapter from 2in to 2.5 to the muffler and run that. if you are reconnecting this to the rest of the stock system get another adapter to put it back down to 2.25 (after the muffler is bigger than 2in, might be 2.5 even..) and run it. if youre doing something else off the back of the muffler then run 2.5 to match the muffler. a super 10 is a little too loud and not throaty enough for me. all depends on the motor though. id say a 44 but thats a personal prefrence.

thank you jakeno60... i think i will just stick with the super 44 then... exactly how loud is it? i mean i know some cops are buttholes and pull anyone over who is remotely loud but is it actually super loud? i have a buddy with a v8 and he put a super 10 and he gets pulled over sometimes... can u tell me the set up on what exactly you did and how much it cost?

My toyota came with it when i got it but it was full set up front to back of axle and its loud one of a kind ppl ask me if I swapped a v8 and I say no..... The cops pull me over lots but I live on a small island where everyone knows me..... by buddy is running 44 on his jeep loud but not too loud where you get pulled over so I think its a good set up. and the cost it ll deepens how long what way u want to do it. If you can use all your mettal and not wast much front to back of axle id say about 300-500 to make it look good doing your own labor.
