2.3l custom system
So I've been doing some thinking, and after noticing just how much scrap metal I have, I'm gonna weld my own muffler. The picture attached is what I think I'm gonna try. You'll notice it's a cross between the Delta flow system and Dynomax Super Turbo. I'm no engineer, but It looks to me like to me the back flow pressure would be just about right. Looking at the blueprints for both the Super 40 and the Super Turbo, you can see the Super 40 is very simple. The Super turbo, not so much. It has perforations in metal tubes, instead of a system like the delta’s in the tubing. My best guess at what will happen, is back pressure will be created inside the middle tube, the extra length the exhaust has to travel will muffle the sound of the engine at idle, but acceleration will be very throaty while still having a muffled overall sound output. in short, the strong bass sound you want from a system, without being overly loud. Kind of a conservatively aggressive approach. Anyways, thoughts? concerns? comments?
