Question Thrush muffler questions

Okay so i want to have a thrush muffler installed on my 1991 3.0 and i have just a few questions. I have a 2 inch pipe diameter, should i just get something that has a 2 inch inlet and outlet? I want the deep rumble sound but i dont know if mufflers are different sized for different sounds or what. So what should i do?

Or as terrible. Mines straightpiped right now while I wait for my exhaust to come in the mail and I'm embarrassed to drive it.

And answering that is there one that like 2 1/16 inch? Cause that would slide over it and you can clamp it on instead of weld in case you want to remove it

correct me if im wrong, but dont they need back pressure to run right and get mileage? ive straight piped a few chevys before and they never ran right after wards...lots of back firing n spiting, put glass packs on them and ran great, plus if the pipe isnt long enough ur definitely gonna burn up some ex valves!

Well for one. When you straight pipe anything. The reason it back fires is because of thw back pressure. And plus there's no muffler. So it always sounds more raspy. Now I'm not sure why putting straightpipe on a vehicle makes them not run right...

Alright I aint straight piping my ranger now this thing just needs a thrush muffler, its going to be on for a few years until i change it out for a whole new exhaust system. I just want something thats going to sound kind of rumbly and deep doesnt have to sound like a cummins. I have a 2 inch pipe diameter will someone give me a link or a few links to some thrush mufflers that will fit my truck and sound the way i want them to?
