Default Straight pipes

Hey guys, I want to get straight pipes on my Ranger but am unsure about a few things. I don't know what size pipes i should get. And i've heard of guys having Heartthrob and Flowmaster Straight pipes. Idk if there is anything special regarding straight aluminum piping or FLOWMASTER aluminum piping. But then again i will admit i'm a noob. My questions are; What is the average price for straight pipes in the average shop? What size piping would be best? and finally Would somthing like this work?

idk but if you think about heart throb like im gonna, iv done alot of research and so far iv herd nothing bad about heart throb, but flow master definatly is a more known company, but more known means bigger price, i found the cheapest duals so far with a 1 year warenty and not many places like lmc truck even do that.

i cut my muffler off and welded in stock sized pipe from pep boys to where the muffler used to be...the pipe was longer than i needed and damaged on one side so i got a discount and it was 8 dollars... definitely a good price for straight pipes... you want the duals though

Alright broski, just got my heart throb dials today cost me 205 to my door and I didn't put on the tips but it sounds Hella tight. Deep tone when idle roar when on the pedal. Well worth the money. Ps does it help that I'm only 16 and only know how to clean trucks not work on em lol took me 3 hours at the most to install just using jack stands and a saw. Now my Dick gets hard just hearing em (figure of speech)

----------

Wanna know a great web site for the cheapest shit? Try PartsTrain.com I got my grille and head lights for 150 total and my pipes like I said 205. Be sure to use the promo code PTcart. Gets 10 percent off. if anything check em out bro its worth it

Hm. I might just straight pipe mine then. I have a glasspack, and it sounded good dumped, but the cops didn't like that, and frankly, I wasn't a fan either, so I threw a side exit, and it's not as loud, nor looks super great.

The stock pipe size is 2.25 inches. If you're gonna do strait pipes I would avoid the x pipes. I also wouldn't go bigger than 2.5 inches in diameter because if you do, it will sound like crap. I'd also recomend using an H-pipe set up instead of the x pipes. Usually a strait pipe exhaust in a local exhaust shop isn't very expensive. When I first started testing different exhaust systems many years ago, all I was charged just to cut muffler off and weld in a piece pipe in the muffler's place was $10.00 bucks of course there wasn't any bending or anything like that either. Also please keep in mind that a shorter exhaust will be alot louder and higher pitched than a longer exhaust system will be as well.
