Question Mbrp Single Single Side Installation Problem?

Heyy Everybody First time poster here Love FRF been a long time lurker always checking to see what you guys come up with. That being said I have a 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 4.0 and I just recently purchased the Single Side MBRP kit now i have to admit ive never installed an exhaust system but it seemed rather simple to install which it was hardest part being getting the stock exhaust off of course. Got everything put on and adjusted to my liking but when i went to tightening the clamps i tightened and tightened til they couldnt be tightened anymore yet.. I can still pull the exhaust apart as if its not even tightened. This being the case on the pipe from the cats to the MBRP muffler and the pipe coming from the muffler going over the axle. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Was the clamp biting down on both pipes?

Yeah. Both pipes are slid inside the muffler ends the only way they can go basically and the clamp is on the muffler ends itself where the slits are to tighten them up.

Question Re: Mbrp Single Single Side Installation Problem?

Your question got me thinking JRock is exhaust installation not like puting a clamp on a water hose per say to where is the clamp suppose to be half on the muffler and half on the pipe inserted inside the muffler? and not entirely on the muffler clamping down on the pipe inserted inside it?
