Glasspack or flowmaster 40
The glass pack is about 40$ an the flowmaster 40 is about 60$. I can't decide what I like better about them. I think the flowmaster sounds a little better but I want some more opinions and facts about them. I have a 2005 for ranger V6 5 speed. Thanks.

Re: Glasspack or flowmaster 40
go with the 40. glasspacks are annoying as hell and you will get sick of the sound after a while, where as the fm 40 will give you a nice low rumble at idle but once you stomp on the gas it sounds really good and plus no highway drone with the fm 40( depending on how you route your exhaust).

Just put a thrush welded on mine sounds amazing you really don't need to spand the money on a flowmaster. Thrush sounds the same if not better

Re: Glasspack or flowmaster 40
Definitely a flowmaster 40 or thrush over a glasspack. I prefer magnaflow, they sound good also.

Plus glass packs are illegal in some cities. Back in the day when we first moved to NM my dads car got impounded in Albuquerque for having glass packs.

The PO of my 302 Ranger put glasspacks on it and ran a full exhaust. After I swap in another motor I would like to get a Super 40 and dump it before the tires. I had a FM 40 on my Tahoe and I loved the sound.
