I have a couple exhausts sitting around. I have 3 3.0 y pipes, 2 with cats and one without. One of the ones with cats is off a newer truck and probabaly wont fit your manifolds. If interested, I'm open to offers. I also have the intermediate pipes with the 2 cats.

This place has the "y" pipe from the exh. manifolds with 2 cats built in for $310, you can put one universal cat behind that before the muffler, that should do it unless you live in California. Thats what I'll prob. end up doing

Oh, you can get the universal cat from sumitracing.com (Walker universal cat) for about $55 so it should cost about $365 plus the pipe, hangers, etc. and labor. Thats prob. the least expensive way to go, if you but the whole 4 cat set up parts alone are $600-$1,200.....

my 99 has the 2 cats. would replacing them with a single high-flow cat, say from cat-co or magnaflow, screw my computer up?

yes because the ecu is programed for 2 cats not one so when you put a single highflow on that will really throw some codes and cause it to run rich no matter if your 02 sensor is still good. if your truck was newer like an 05 and had under 80,000 miles you could have them replacd for free! i had mine replaced at ford becuase one of them had a tapping noise in it and it is required that there be a warranty on emmisions parts like cats that is 5years or 80,000 miles
