Default 2.3 with Flowmaster?

Maybe a dumb question, so if it is, please ignore me... But can I expect any noticeable gains at all in performance when putting a flow 40 on my 4 cyl?
Are there any mufflers that would suit my truck better?

I put a THRUSH glasspack and a 5 in diesel tip on my danger ranger, and it didn't improve or worsen my fuel mileage. P.s.-it sounds mean as hell!!

Yea you wont notice any performance difference. But my Gibson sounds pretty beefy for a 4 banger.

You can buy just the muffler. The only reason I got the whole system is because it was all stainless steel.

But $40 is a great deal. I would get it and if you don't like it then go for the Gibson or another style.

I recommend a exhaust tip also.

Yeah that was another thing. I need a good tip that I won't have to replace every few months. I had one for about 4 months that rusted over 100% of the surface so I cut it off.

I have a flowmaster 40 on my 2.5. It sounds pretty winy on the inside but it sounds like a mini-truck on the outside.

I agree. Mine sounds much better from outside the truck. I usually have my radio on pretty loud so I don't notice the sound.

Okay this is off topic, but I noticed you have 33's On your truck. What have you done performance wise to help pull those tires?
