Default Economy Improvements

Hi Guys,
Id like to improve fuel economy on my 04 Edge as much as possible as i feel its not worth giving my money to the oil bastards. Any suggestions?

Nothing you do to the truck will actually make a money saving difference. It is all about how you use your right foot.

Perhaps something along the lines of a Dynomax Super Turbo. You definately don't want a straight through muffler if saving gas is a concern. I got one in mine and it feels like a 4.0 with the gas milage of a 5.0. Another thing is keep your rpms below 2. I'll usually shift into 5th once my speedo hits 30.

I don't know how much of this will apply to your 04, but have a look.

Here's the inherent problem. All this stuff you can mod and add to your truck might add you a few questionable MPG's. But they all cost 100x more than you will ever save by gaining 2mpg here and there. It is not gaining you anything as far as economy.
