Default need some help with my cat

hey guys! so i decided to put a cat back on my 1992 ford ranger. i got it all ready to go but i have one question. it came with one gasket for the end side, but dont i need one for the other? i thought it need a gasket on both sides? mabye im wrong. any help will help!

Lol id just leave the cat out of the equasion if ur state laws allow it...get more power n better fuel economy without...but otherwise it should be welded inlet with the donut gasket on the outlet...that's how it was on my 91

i found it all out and i only did it because of inspection. now throwing a 5.0 from a mustang into my truck
