Default My new Magnaflow Dual Exhaust!

Just got it installed today Exhaust system cost about $650 and labour was $370. This video definitely doesn't do it justice, it absolutely roars in person! Sounds like she's rocking a V8

http://youtu.be/SlbBiCGfMNo?hd=1

Note: The trailer hitch had to be slightly trimmed to accommodate the tail pipes.

Magnaflow Part Number: 15773

Also had my CCFL Angel Eye Halo's wired! Attached a picture.

I hear ya! I'm going to end up having to bend mine out a bit so I can add a hitch in the spring time..mine came with the truck though, so I didn't have a say.

Sounds AWESOME man. I love Magnaflow

Yeah it really did come to near $1000 after all said and done. Labour ended up costing abit, and I probably could have got it done privately for less... But I don't think I could have gotten the exhaust itself for anything less than what I paid

Thanks I'm loving the sound too, taking every excuse to go driving just to hear it

I was originally gunna just get rid of my hitch all together but then it ended up proving it's worth when it snowed where I lived and had to pull something... So I decided to keep it.

I planned on having the shop bend the pipes to fit around the hitch but it was easier and less labour intensive for them to just trim the hitch!

Thanks! I probably wouldn't have gotten the duals if I couldn't keep my spare and trailer hitch, especially if it was the spare!

That isn't the Magnaflow site. In fact, I don't believe that website (http://www.magnaflowdirect.com/) is even an authorized dealer...and they made the site name & logo very similar to trick people who don't do research.

See here (from the REAL Magnaflow site): http://www.magnaflow.com/03buyonline.asp?partnum=15773

Few highlights:

Ok, let's think about this one: If you were running an unofficial website (or even a "shady" one), would you ever say so on your own site?? Of course not!

On the other hand, the info I posted, is direct from the manufacturer itself.

They may be a warehouse distributor (which is also in doubt) but I doubt they are authorized for direct "end user" sales per Magnaflow's site. However, as you will read below, they have multiple companies setup to help get around this "issue" (aka shady).

Hell, even the website name of http://www.magnaflowdirect.com/ isn't allowable per Magnaflow itself. If they aren't even living up to the manufacturers requirements when it comes to a website name…how many other requirements do you think they are actually living up to? Probably little to none.

Please Note: If you are creating an Online Shop or Website you MAY NOT use the Magnaflow name in your URL. Magnaflow is a registered trademark that belongs to Car Sound Exhaust System, Inc. Resellers that do so will be in direct violation of Car Sound's rights and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Also, just a little research reveals that the company has multiple names and websites (see link below)...no doubt it's been a way to get around the distributor vs. direct sales issue. Again, just seems shady to me….

Here is a thread (from a few years back) that Diablosport emailed to EVERY official distributor/seller to tell them they couldn't sell to this company because they were selling the items below the official resale policy (aka breaking the distributor vs. direct sales policies) http://www.modularrevolution.com/for...ad.php?p=14817. Warranty claims WERE denied.

I doubt you would ever have a problem with exhaust (warranty issues are slim). but sometimes if the pricing seems too good to be true....it IS too good to be true.

Ok, but that's still far from a 100% all stainless steel Magnaflow setup....

Plus he is up in Canada, so the value he stated could be using that "funny money" of his.

I think the labor was on the high side (like he also mentioned), but that's just about right on the material side for that kit (online from authorized dealers for about $620). I think my Magnaflow setup was like $750 to $800 installed many years ago as well.

Haha, you've got the truth bang on! The exhaust system was $618.82 before crazy Canadian taxes. After tax it came to $692.85. I paid the same amount that an authorized Magnaflow dealer would sell it for

Attached a picture of the original invoice from the parts shop as well!
