Default Would Exhaust Gasses Affect The Rear Axle?

I was wondering, do I have to worry about hot exhaust gasses being shot onto the rear axle of my ranger? I just put a Flowmaster Super 44 in yesterday, and I havn't put in the tail pipe, So my main concern is if the exhaust gasses that are coming out of the outlet on my Super 44 affect the interal lubrication of the rear axle?

No it wont hurt anything inside. Only concern I would have would be extra corrosion on the axle tube/ housing but you would have to drive it like that for years for that to ever be an issue.

I'd be more worried about the evap stuff since it's plastic. I know someone who lit theirs on fire

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm glad I got your help, Thanks man! And as of the diameter of a tail pipe for the Super 44, I was planning on doing a single 2.5" pipe. From my experience the larger the pipe the deeper sounding it is. Would 2.5" pipe be an ok size to use, without loosing too much low-end power? I had a cat-back muffler delete before, and since I put the Flowmaster on, I'm don't know why I didn't go the Flowmaster route before. It sounds so much better!

You would be fine with a single 2.5" tailpipe. If you were splitting it into duals I would say go a bit smaller but even then, I doubt it would even make a difference.
