Default Hole In Rear Converter, cause truck to hav no low end power?

I was wondering if the problem of my 94 4.0L Ranger is having, is related to the rear cat having a exhaust leak, and the outcome is now low end power? The 4.0 studder's when I give it alot of gas, and I can hear the leak, would this cause my ranger to hav no low end power? It's fine when I'm in 3rd to 5th gear.

My .02 cents. I don't think that would cause a drop in power. I think the drop in power has just got you looking around and you found another issue. That's a pisser =(

What else could the problem be?

if the leak is bad enough youll lose a lot of back pressure which can cause a loss of power
