Default Muffler

Do you guys think I could take off my muffler and leave on the cattalitic(sp) converter and not have any problems? or would I run into some issues. my muffler is rusting out and I don't want the rust to
spread and I wouldn't mind it being louder.

Specific titles help. It's my understanding that removing the muffler makes it louder and more obnoxious, and I believe you will lose low-end power.

Yeah, you'll lose too much back pressure w/o one. You'd be better off getting a cheap crap muffler than not having anything at all.

it is obnoxious. Just unbolt your muffler and go drive around. You will see real quick. Best best is to get another muffler

I'm not worried about the sound guys. I want to know if it will mess anything up.

It is my daily driver and has been with this setup for over 2 years.

The muffler dosent have anything to do with the emissions. At idol its got a slight rumble so when you pull up to the emissions place they wont give you any shit. I guess it all depends on your state laws.

I had a shop take out the old muffler and weld in the new pipe.
