Re: Stacks?
Stacks are a no no unless its a diesel, imo.
Just dump it, you wont have anything to worry about after that really.

Re: Stacks?
Agreed if it is not a diesel, A: it looks retarded and B: its illegal (at least here it is, and should be everywhere!) C: you still have the same components under the truck as if you where to dump it. D: it makes the bed useless. E: its is way to loud in the cab F: it is a bitch to take it off after everytime going off roading and filling it with mud,sand,leafs,sticks,etc... G: and last but not least, it kills HP because you are severely increasing back pressure.
What i would do is roll the muffler to lay until the bottom of the frame and make a cheap skid plate under the muffler, it doesn't have to be all that thick because a muffler is what 15-20 bucks to replace and the muffler isn't in a spot you should be high-centering on anyway

I would have to say stock looking or dumped straight out the back is IMO is worse than stacks, because you cant legally tow a trailer, they melt shit if you have a hitch mount cargo carrier, you crush them all the time on trails and you break them off if you ever back in to something like a tree, but mostly the melting shit( i had a gas can catch on fire in my jeep on a cargo carrier) and the fact that i think they look stupid on trucks other than the sport trucks that come stock and have the reliefs cut in the bumper. there is a reason why most trucks dont come with them stock they are dangerous. o and one more reason, not really that big of a deal but straight out the back is bad if you get stuck in a mud bog it is easier for mud to get in the muffler than with the bend.
