30 series flow master on 3.0 V6 Ranger
i want to get a new muffler on my 3.0 V6 2WD Ranger. Everything is stock. i want to get a nice throaty sound. i dont want anything that will make it sound like im just farting in a can or anything stupid. i also dont want to be the ******* that has the obnoxiously loud truck that always driving through town. i have a friend who suggested a 30 series flowmaster. he said a 40 would be louder then i want. anyone have any suggestions?

I just got done looking on flowmaster's site and I see no 30 series. I would say that a magnaflow is what your looking for. A lot of people that have them say they have a nice sound and not too loud.

FLOWMASTER!!!
Last I checked, flowmaster had a patent on the design layout and sounds that are produced from their mufflers. Delta Flow Technology is the best!

i have the 40 series on my 3.0. it sounds very very nice. it has this rumble which sounds nothing like a v6 or a I4. cant sound like a V8 but it come close. my dad got the super 44 on his 2.9 bronco 2. sound very very nice at idle. but going down the street it is very loud. especially when he gets on it. both are great!! 40 series not to loud the 44 loud but gets you noticed. hard pick. i have vids of mine ill post them latter so you can see.

i've always liked flowmasters especially on 4cyl rangers, because it doesnt give you that bumble bee sound like so many other exhausts do... There's a lot of guys on this forum that have v6s instead of 4's like mine so you can probably listen to their exhausts or go on youtube and find plenty of ranger exhuast kits that different people have installed...

where would be the best place to have your exhaust pipe come out. i know stock its behind the wheel but ive been seeing them just curve down after the muffler or coming out in front of the wheel or even just strait out the back. wheres the best place to have your exhaust come out?

i say out the side behind the wheel. dual exhaust on a v6 sounds like two cylinders are missing. just me though. mine is out the side. i love it. i told you for the reasons already. i made a vid for you but cant seem to find the vid now. so ill make another one. i live by a high way so it f-ing sucks on exhaust vids. you said you dont want it to loud. so a 40 series is just right. 50 will sound not right. thats ment for the V8's six's dont sound right. but there quite. if you want quite exhaust stay with the stocker. want sound well any pipe will give you sound. to much for what you want too do. go with sound i say %100 better then a quite ranger.
