is this supposed to be like this?
ive noticed my exhaust kinda hangs lower than i thought its supposed to, especially under the door where the pipe from the cat meets the pipe from the muffler.
it looks like the fitting/connector with the gasket inside was put on(not factory im sure) but nothing else looks replaced.
also, the hangers directly above the muffler are rusted and not holding it. the only hanger i can see holding the back end is the one near the tail pipe.
any imput is apprieciated thanks

dont worry about it, different parts of the country have way more rust either because of snow, road salt or if you live on the coast.
heres mine looks the same
just sticks down a tad, i made sure the actual muffler was tucked though
edit: get rid of that stock exhaust though!! haha

You should put spray on rugged liner or line-x all over your frame it prevents that rust from happening and preserves your truck for many years to come

haha true but to do it right you would have to take off every little spot of rust off before you sprayed it otherwise it would just come through again.

I would like to contest this (and continue the thread jack), but only with the purpose of learning more.
Ranger frames are not untreated from the factory. I believe they ussualy have black paint. The paint then chips off and starts rust. Would line-x not chip off and continue to rust? Is there something that can be done to keep the factory frame coating in good shape?

Regular paints will get eaten off by salt and will break down with weather conditions. I am going to do mine over again, this time using POR15. I have been researching it, that product seems like its one of the best to use for undercoating
