Re: Exhaust sound request
British engines tend to make unique noises, as do most japanese engines. Not to shoot you down, but there isnt any realistic way, that I know of, to make a 4.0 sound like a DBS v12.
You could try a flowmaster 10 and start adding or removing baffling and resonating chambers to get a sound that you like, but it will always be a bit off. A big issue with these engines running really free flowing exhaust is backpressure pops and crackles. I like em, personally. But, if loud is your game, and the DBS is very loud, then look at Flowmaster 10 series or the Borla XR1 race mufflers. For the best sound, you really need to take it to a shop that is renown for making quality systems and having them custom fab one. However, with your rig being an '11, chances are you will want to keep your warranty instead. Check with your dealer about custom exhaust and warranty issues. If they green light you, go nuts.

Re: Exhaust sound request
or you could swap the Aston v12 and exhaust into your Ranger.
----------
But you will need to get headers and highflow cats along with a new muffler

Re: Exhaust sound request
You want your truck to "sound" like a DBS....might I suggest pulling a v12 from a DBS and somehow sticking it in your truck.
A cheaper way to do it: Put a bad ass stereo system in your cab and play that clip REALLY really loud when you accelerate.
Seriously: I too want a decent low end sound out of my exhaust system. I have put it off because I don't want to end up with one that sounds like most of the 4 banger imports. They all have that "it sounds like something is broken" issue. Too loud and high pitch.
FYI: Top Gear UK is WAAAAAAAAAAY better than that rip off wanna-be U.S. version. Just about every episode of season one was ripped straight off of the UK show. Tanner is the only one worth watching (no homo). The other two clowns and WORTHLESS.

Re: Exhaust sound request
You could run 18"+ tips that are at least 3" and it will deepen it a little.

Re: Exhaust sound request
That Aston sounds sick! No way your engine will EVER sound like that. Now, listen to this Ford Falcon. You could potentially get your truck to sound like this with a donor engine, but at least its still Ford!

I may go for the coyote 5L eventually (like the outside sounds but the in cab sound of the Aussie Falcon sounds like a vulture getting crammed into a wood chirper lol)
