Default 94 4.0 Ford Ranger W/ True Duals?

Has anyone ever heard a 1994 Ford Ranger w/ a 4.0L V-6, w/ true dual straight pipes? I've heard people say that 1 7/8" exhaust pipe all the way from the engine to the rear exit, would be ideal, Would there be enough back pressure w/ both the cats, and no mufflers using 1 7/8" exhaust pipe?

From owning a 4.0l 1994 with true dials off the headers no cats and had 2 40 flowmasters it sounded like pure shit and not in a good way. It had 2" piping
