Took off my exhaust.
I drive a 2000 XLT v6 3.0L my friend and I sawed the muffler off and took it out. Must say for what my truck is it sounds pretty beast. Anyone else do this before? What do you think I should do next?

I like Flowmaster. Glasspacks and CBs dont sound good on 3.0s and neither do straight pipes.

i think im gonna get a long glass pack for mine, just so im legal. then you run it for like 30 minutes with a garden hose shooting water into it, it packs the glass down and makes it louder

I did many different times. At this point if I was you, I'd be doing some research on what type of exhaust you'd want and what you would like. It's a pick your poison type of deal. Check out the official exhaust video thread by clicking on the link listed below and see what you would like and what set up to use. Also, keep in mind that you have a small V6 and not a V8.

my friend has the exact same truck as you and he cut his exhust pipe right after the stock muffler and it sounds prettty sweet id say. go for it and cut it, im gunna be getting a flowmater 40 series muffler from a friend soon, those seem to be the most popular muffler and are very nice!

i use swingset pole for my exhaust. makes the 2.3 sound like a monsta

Flowmaster 60 series is beast, cant straight pipe in Cali illegal to pass smog.
