Dual exhaust question for gurus
I was wondering if I would be able to to buy this muffler
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=9073 (I know its supposed to be offset In but would this still work?
If this would work, I would leave it in the stock location and perhaps leave the second out as is (underneath the bed undubbed) until i can finish the job at another time. Is is easy to route the new piping out behind the rear wheel on the drivers side?

Thanks pooleo, would it matter if its not offset, I guess I could just force the piping into this Y split?

Re: Dual exhaust question for gurus
I think center is the best, but I had mine back by the ext cab part so it fit good. I guess you could always tip it on its side...?

I would rather not have it coming out in front of the rear wheels since it could a pain for debris from the front wheels and perhaps excessive cabin noise. Did you dub it facing the ground by the cab, how is the Decibels of the exhaust there in the cab?

Re: Dual exhaust question for gurus
when I first put it together I just had the pipe and the muffler and it was LOUD! and annoying, it droned in the cab. When I got my tails put on it put everything out the back and sound good, cab noise was minimal

That's a good choice for a muffler. If you want to install it now and finish it later it's possible. Just be sure to go about 6 inches behind the cab until you're ready to finish it. Now it will drone like hell until your piping is done. And the driver's side exhaust pipe will take the longest to install. I did this with a terminator muffler and it sounded nice and rumbly. I'm running a cherry bomb glass pack now. And don't drive it like a mad man possessed either cause it might draw some unwanted attention too, so please be carefull.

Thanks for the heads up. I still like the sound of your glasspack (plus its cost effective) but I do like the look of duel exhaust behind the rear wheels.

Yeah alot of people liked my exhaust set up that I have now. Exhaust is really a matter of several things. The first is what look you like and your own personal style, and what type of engine you have plays a huge roll in what exhaust to pick. What ever you decide to do is really a matter of your own personal taste. Here's the beauty about exhaust systems too. If you don't like the way it turns out, you can always go back and change it to something else. I did a Flowmaster Deltaforce 10 series racing muffler that way The ladies loved it, but the damn sound police didn't, L.O.L.

That will work. Cherry Bomb does make another muffler that does sound like their glass packs that go 1 into 2 simulating true duals, but they may have discontinued ot though. Keep in mind though, that 1 into 2 tends to be a bit louder than normal as well.
