Was your truck made in cali, if so, it probably does, and really those are only the big ones, if you look at the pipes coming from the manifolds, there should be at least 3 more. I counted 4 on my truck.

I think he meant to type "I wonder if it's a noise reducer". For some reason, that's what I read, lol.

It's not a noise reducer. Those are the two catalytic converters you have on your truck. The 4.0 OHV had two inline cats.

Well, other than having a new check engine light code and sounding like complete ass (at least in my opinion) then I guess no, you shouldn't have any problems. You can get one of those fake O2 sensors to replace the one you'll be knocking out, but I suggest just leaving it and getting a muffler to replace the one you have.

I believe what he is saying is:
If you want your truck LOUDER,
replace your original muffler with a
Different one (maybe Flowmaster )
LEAVE YOUR CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ALONE!

I'd go with a different Flowmaster muffler and leave the cats alone. The 50 series is pretty mellow for a 4.0. Try using either a super 44 or the original 40 series mufflers for an agressive sound.

Glasspacks like Cherry Bomb might be what you are looking for as well

Nope, too loud for the street. That's off road use only.

Cherry Bomb glass packs are good I have one on right now as we speak. I've also uploaded a video in the official exhaust video thread. All he needs to do is pick the "right one" which is where most people make mistakes.
