Nope not exactly. A glass pack muffler has fiberglass packed inside of the muffler case. So far Cherry Bomb and Patriot Exhaust systems are the kings of those types of mufflers. If someone picks the wrong one the fiber glass packing that supposed to absorb the sound will "burn out". I've also seen some people take an aceteline rosebud torch and burn the fiber glass out to make it louder.

Basicly for those who do want the glass pack to sound extreme, after they burn out reverse the glass pack and install directly off the header with no tips or anything. I did that once and ended up going to the hospital and getting my ears flushed due to extra wax build up and blood loss from my extreme exhaust:

That's if your glass pack burns out. If you pick the right one depending on the size of the engine it will never burn out, except on a V8.
dude i am impressed, love the start yp (best one out of all the ones i have heard lol) pretty good incab as well, def going to buy one once my warranty is up

I'm glad I was able to help you make your decision. That glass pack has alot of people fooled in terms of sound. I was thinking of something. They'll use the way the glass pack is angled by the manufacturer to make it fit when they weld it up, if you remember the photos I posted.
