OEM cat-back flange?
I've decided that I want a flowmaster 40 si/do exhaust, and I found a pre-assembled new catback system on ebay. This is the seller's comments on how to install,
"The kit does not go all the way to the converter. The basic installation is this. First cut the exhaust pipe right in front of the factory muffler. Remove everything from there back. Then first install the tailpipes. Then the muffler. Then the extension pipe that connects the muffler to the exhaust pipe. All of the pipes are sized to slip fit and clamp together. The tips require welding."
I don't exactly want to cut my stock pipes, in case I want to put them back on. I was hoping to just unbolt the flange. Is there a similar replacement pipe and flange from another car (explorer, etc.) that I can grab from a junkyard to use for this? Rangers are the first to get completely stripped at junkyards in my town.
Also, can tips be welded when they are on the truck?
