Estimated mpg gain with new exhaust

I just got a cat back exhaust done today, a one in two out flowmaster 40 mandrel bent piping and two angle cut 3 Inch tips straight out the back. It's gorgeous and sounds great. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of Average fuel economy gain I can hopefully get.. Thanks

Possibly .5 to 1mpg gain

You would honestly just have to fill up and see how far you can go. I wouldn't expect a lot.

expect it to sound good and your mpg will go down because you will be revving it up to hear it LOL

Any change will be so minimal, that you may or may not be able to barely measure it. And I can assure you the exhaust system cost 100x more than the pennies you will save at the pump from that change in MPG.

I see it worth it.. Seem like better response and flow, and your tight about revving it because I do love to hear it. Lol but I still see it worth it. I have to get it worked on again Cus Midas didn't center them right, one pipe is about 1.5 inches closer to the spare than the other.. If they expect me to pay for their mistake they are out of their mind. Thanks for all of the responces though guys.

It's worth it as long as you did it for looks, sound, and performance. People who do it for fuel economy need a reality check.

just to clear something up... a high flow exhaust on certain vehicles will give better fuel economy and performance i.e. supra mark III ghains 60hp and improves highway milage by a few mpg due to high restriction exhaust... though rangers seem to not do more than sound.

so thats why people may think, at first, they will get better fuel economy in there rangers.

60HP?? i know a supra is a turbocharged car and all but that is a little outragious... i really dont see a 60HP gain from a supra. unless it was on some videogame like need for speed

well on turbo charged cars back pressure is the enemy, the least amount of back pressure the faster the turbo spools, is what ive been told on dsmtuners.com when i used to have a dsm, but 60 hp from exhaust, i dont think so. maybe with exhaust, intake, and a tune
