Default First time ranger owner help please :)

Howdy yall i got a 1997 2.3 liter 4 banger ranger and i was wonderin what would happenin if i took the exhaust off at what i believe is the 2 bolts prior to the muffler and leave it open to make it louder for shits and grin but im concerned about any issues this may cause

it should cause any problems at all. as long as there isnt an O2 sensor that connects to the part that you are taking off.

the check engine light would come on. when you take it off though all you gotta look for is something that is screwed into the piping with electrical wires goin to it if there isnt then you will be fine

I woudnt do just cause i did it and ran it like that for like a year and my check engine light came on due to a failed EGR valve. I believe it did that just because i was getting way to much back pressure and more back pressure also means less power as well.
