i don't know much about gibson, but i run a 2.5'' cherry bomb turbomuffler with 2.5''pipes front to back, engine is a 2.5... at first it didn't sound too good... my best advice, get some tail pipes like 3'' or something and make them friggin long, i used 2 vibrant performance 18'' long 3'' slant pipes, they deepened the tone a aweful lot now it sound great, best of luck to you buddy

it'll sound like ass and you'll lose low end torque....noticeably

i drove around for a week like that until i got my flowmaster put on and i hated it

I think it's impossible. I would love to figure out the same dam thing but I'm going to leave mine how it is.
I don't want my truck lifted up sounding like a small honda civic with a body kit and underglow lol.

Just throw a 305 in it and striaghtpipe it. haha

i will say that flowmaster 40s sound good. my friend got one dumped on his sonoma 4.3L. after hearing that i was kicking myself for not getting a flowmaster haha. it sounds so deep and like a v8.

I agree, get flowmasters. Flowmasters sounds real good on 4.0s. If you had a 3.0 and under (which I have a 3.0), I say get a Dynomax Super Turbo. Sounds real mellow when driving and roars when I floor it lol (only to pass slow drivers)
