Default Removing a cat. Any harm in doing it?

So I'm pretty sure there are four cats on my truck and one of them looks like its after the O2 sensor. is there any harm in removing this (and obviously replacing it with pipe) ? Would the truck still pass emissions and such and how would it affect the sound?

Also its a 4.0 sohc
Thanks

When I visit one of my friends, their cat is usually on my truck....dunno why. I don't think he's after the O2 sensor, though -- he just likes to leave little kitty paw prints all over the hood and roof, and occasionally take a nap on the hood.

Four of 'em, huh? You didn't use those moist Friskies treats as some sort of cheap clay bar substitute, did ya?

mmmmm friskies! You may not be able to pass inspection, but check with a local inspection station near you just to see what they go by because it is different from state to state. If I did that they would fail it my state and the place I go to

lol cat jokes. Anyways, it just depends on local state laws and regulations. It would sound heartier though!

...also, if you drive up to Canada (they don't have Esso stations in the US, any more), you can "put a tiger in your tank".

Ryno, try welding a pipe on the inside of the hollowed out cat. it might take away the resonance and the 'ricy' tone. My freind did it on his truck a while back.

umm from a biological stand point cats are an invasive species with exponential abilities to reproduce. They are also a major contributor to decrease bird populations across the united states. Sooo no harm in removing cats from existence. If you would like to help in other ways i recommend the feral cat society.....yes it exists.
