yeah. just go down to your local exhaust pros etc and ask to take muffler off and replace with a glasspack. my total was about $250.00 and it continues to get louder the more you run it. enjoy

It gets louder because you are wearing out the fiberglass sound suppresent. So basically there is a point where you no longer have useful fiberglass in you muffler which pretty much means your muffler is useless and you are running off the cats suppressing any sound rather than the muffler. Hence why Glasspacks are so cheap. Also a muffler with a straight-through dessign infringes on your backpressure decreasing your torque.
If you want a solid muffler stick to chamber designs. ALWAYS remember, you get what you pay for.

well i guess you get get all technical like that....

or... you could just go by what sounds best. performance exhaust in my opinion arent worth it... if i had 400 laying around i would go for performance but other than that. glasspack ftw.

very good point Rafe..
You definately get what you pay for, so if you want a decent exhaust, then expect to pay more than just for a cherry bomb or whatever..

And that flowmaster super 44 on y truck was worth every penny! Good sound with great flow. Lost a little torque since i shortened the exhaust but gained some great hp!

what about headers? how much would some really nice headers cost? and I can get anything powder coated for free... should I powder coat the headers? I've heard some people do that to help against cracking.
